What your child will figure out

  • Sort nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs by the job each word performs in a complete sentence.
  • Explain how adjectives add detail to nouns and adverbs add detail to actions.
  • Recognise pronouns as noun substitutes and prepositions as relationship words in a transfer sentence.
  • Classify generated sentences while an adaptive staircase responds to accurate first-attempt sorting.

The levels

  1. Meet the parade crew

Predict and sort a noun and verb, observe that one names while the other acts, then explain their different jobs.

  2. Dress up the sound

Extend the parade to adjectives and adverbs, using what each detail word modifies as evidence.

  3. Special guest floats

Distinguish pronouns and prepositions from nouns and verbs in a new sentence.

  4. Grand-finale transfer

Transfer all six word jobs to a novel, longer parade sentence and explain that context determines each float.

Ready when they are.
