What your child will figure out

  • Match a highlighted or named state to its official capital without relying on the state's largest or most famous city.
  • Use West, Midwest, South, and Northeast map anchors to organize state-capital pairs.
  • Explain that a capital is the official seat of state government, not automatically the largest city.
  • Transfer from capital-to-state clues and continue adaptive practice through all 50 state-capital pairs.

The levels

  1. Golden State prediction

Predict Sacramento from highlighted California and observe a star pin land only after the choice.

  2. Texas route stamp

Act on the Texas prompt, observe Austin paired with its state and region, and collect a second route stamp.

  3. Florida tourist trap

Distinguish Tallahassee from famous Florida cities and explain that a capital is the official seat of government.

  4. Albany reverse route

Transfer the relationship in reverse from the capital Albany to New York while the map remains unrevealed until the choice.

Ready when they are.
