• Continue generated practice as the adaptive staircase changes the number of portals and the closeness of distractor eras.

The levels

1. The first tool

   Predict and place a stone axe, observe the time jump, then explain that its chipped-stone edge is the era clue.

2. Message from the Nile

   Place a papyrus scroll and observe how writing and papyrus connect it to an Ancient civilisation.

3. Castle call

   Separate Medieval castle evidence from earlier Ancient buildings and later Modern technology.

4. Pocket-sized transfer

   Transfer the clue strategy to a smartphone in a radically different material and technology context.
